- Dominican Mornings - Once Brother Dicksbain moved out of SoCal, it became imperative that a set time was initiated in which both Brothers could share a fine cigar and unwind from the work week. This started on Saturday mornings Sept 05 and continues to this day. Initially, the cigar smoked had to be a Dominican, however this restriction has loosened over time. Luckily, we’ve been able to share many additional hours of shared cigar smoking beyond this set time and have even extended this term into Dominican Evenings and even Figueroa Evenings when Brother Moneybag$ is stuck late at work on a Friday/Holiday. The post on this site generally include a list of cigars smoked as well as the broad topics covered during these conversations.
- L-Gar - Short for “Lunch Cigar”; A cigar had during the lunch hour generally while at work during the week. A special treat as weekday midday cigars are rare.
- PPG - Price Per Gar. This is a good measurement to judge the worthiness of cigar deals. It’s often easy to get distracted by “free” ashtrays and not realize what your paying for a stick. Factoring in the PPG helps keep the bottom line in check.
- Vendomes - Vendome Wine & Spirits located in Placentia, CA. It’s an older liquor store that actually has a pretty nice walk-in humidor. This was one of the first places The Brothers went to purchase cigars and still visited primarily for nostalgia reasons. Note: As of September 23, 2006 they’ve brought back “Crazy Cigar Tuesday” where they offer buy 2 get 1 free.
